2012 Avira

Featured Replies

anyone had this problem?

this am got a pop up to say Avira free antivirus 2012 wanted to upgrade...so downloaded.

Restarted computer and got windows message that my connection manager had stopped working..

rebooted etc .....zip..same message.

Had to restore back to prior to download ..now it works..... obviously...

Will message them and ask.....probably Avira did no like something or I did something wrong.......?

I know that avira show so much annoying pop ups but in this case looks more like a troyan faking a pop up, never trust in pop ups, when you need something go directly to the main aplication or website and download from there.

fake security software is everywhere the list is long http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/List_of_rogue_security_software.

Probably you did nothing wrong, ask to Avira better.

There's been a major update to Avira 2012. Some have had problems. Best to uninstall Avira, reboot, and do a fresh install of Avria.

If you have a paid version, make sure save the key file before you uninstall. It will make reactiving Avira easier.

Delete that program and install Avast.
