Local Government man shot outside city pub

PATTAYA: -- A local civil servant was shot and critically injured on Sunday morning

In the early hours of Sunday morning, Pattaya Police received reports of gunshots in front of a pub on Third road in the city. On arrival at the scene they discovered a vehicle with three bullet holes in its windows and a man, reported to be a secretary to a regional Mayor, who had been shot in the chest.

The 44 year old was treated at the scene of the crime and rushed to Bangkok Pattaya hospital where he needed immediate surgery and was still in a coma on Sunday night.

Investigators were told that Mr. Narathip, whose family own the Srisuvit private school, was leaving a pub with the intention of heading for home, when two teenagers on a motorcycle sped along the road, stopped and fired their weapon at him.

Local Government Officer fights for his life after shooting in-front of North Pattaya Pub

PATTAYA:--A Local Government Officer, who was set to become Deputy Mayor of Banglamung Municipality within the next 6 months was shot in the chest outside of a North Pattaya Pub and investigators are currently unsure if he was caught in crossfire or was the intended target.

Police and rescue services were called to the front of the Pink Nightclub at the northern end of Pattaya Third Road in the early hours of Sunday to investigate the shooting which saw Khun Narathit aged 44, Secretary of the Banglamung Sub-District Administration, shot in the chest. He was rushed to the Bangkok Hospital Pattaya where he underwent emergency surgery and is currently in a coma.

The victim’s car was damaged during the shooting and Khun Narathit is thought to have been shot as he prepared to leave the club. Security Guards at the Pub confirmed an earlier altercation inside the venue involving two rival gangs and one of them threatened to return later in the night with guns. Khun Narathit, who also owned the Sisuwit Private School in Banglamung, was confirmed as not being involved in this altercation but was inside the Pub with friends.
