Advice Regarding Gold Shops Please.

Hi ,

I am new to the gold shops in BKK and wondered if anyone is willing to share any experiences (good or bad) with particular shops?

I've had conflicting advice from personal friends who purchase, one says 'any shop will do - they don't risk their reputations' another says 'find a trustworthy shop' (I err towards the latter...)

In particular, does anyone have any feedback regarding the shop on the corner of Suk. 49?

Agree with the posted.

This is the only store I buy in Thailand with the best reputation.

When u re-sell anywhere in Thailand even at the smallest stall at the mall, their logo is trusted by every shop owner, pawn shop etc.

I have used the shop on the corner of Suk Soi 10 for years. Mainly for convenience as it saves the hassle of Yaowarat.

yes you need to be careful where you buy,my wf 1995 bought a 3bht.chain when visiting her sister,then 2010 decided to sell as its not safe to wear it found out after going to 3shops it was only 95% pure.
