Any Prepaid Data?

Featured Replies

For years, I buy a 1-2-Call pre-paid SIM with X hrs of data plus calls.

Is there a pre-paid SIM with a set amount of data, say 2GB plus some calls?

The amount of times I forget to turn off data and waist a load of hours! :S

Thanks, YBB.

I think they all do that. I used to have a data package on Dtac but if I went over the package limit they would just take it off my credit. I fixed it by buying the cheapest unlimited package ;)

In general a volume-based date plan (as measured in Bytes of usage) is almost always better than a time-based data plan (as measured in hours), if only because almost all time-based plans are capped at 384 Kbps.

Just posted this in another thread, go to an AIS office and they give you 3Gb valid for a month for Bt700.

Thanks - too easy!

Went into a DTAC shop and got two SIM's. Was a bit painful with the tom who couldn't understand my Thai wife or myself for a while though.

Wife speaks Thai with an Aussie accent and sometimes gets blank looks.

A 1GB for wife's iPhone and 3GB for my HTC mobile that I plug in my laptop for internet.

I think it is these plans here...

Cost about 1200 baht for both including the initial SIM cost. Not sure what that was.

Cheers, YBB.

Edit: think it's that Happy plan because I keep getting dam_n SMS's from "Happy".
