K bank E-mail with Tax Forms attached ?
OK maybe a stupid question, but here goes. I didn't get the email but I did copy the three PDF forms that were posted on this topic. Then I found that I couldn't enter text into them. Adobe offers an upgrade but I'm not interested. Can you enter text on the forms you got (if you got the email)? If you can't enter text, of course you can print the forms and write by hand and then scan to send by email but what a pain. Response appeciated. -

EV Owners Frustrated as Samui Ferries Restrict EV Transport Over New Year Period
Sure it is. No point in acknowledging that EV fires are little more than an outlier, and ICE engines are statically more likely to catch fire. Nor is it worth pointing out that no Western nanny state has yet banned EVs due to their dangers. This is simply some fool exercising what little authority they have. I'd like to say well-intentioned fool, but this is Thailand and given that EV sales accounted for a fair percentage of vehicles sold in Thailand over the last couple of years, it wouldn't surprise me if some Thai ICE vehicle manufacturing lobby was whispering in a few ears. it seems to me rather like the controversial vape and the thai tobacco monoply's successful effort to keep them illegal did despite the unhindered sale of cigarettes. -

People who support Cashless Society
I use contactless in some locations that are more trustworthy and do not charge a fee for using a card. But mainly use cash - which i get direct from a human in a bank here in Thailand once a month. Pay by phone? Phone apps are too flaky (rely on wifi or phone signal, not always good). I reckon at least 10% of actions on my phone fail - have to repeat and sometimes more than once. If just browsing it is just annoying, but for paying for stuff or internet communications it can be VERY annoying. And what happens if your phone breaks down, runs out of battery or gets stolen? Too many ifs. In the UK 3 months ago, was on holiday and needed to use a car park for overnight parking - only accepted coins - and you needed a lot! There was a phone option but it rarely worked. Spent half an hour every morning making single purchases with bank notes (from an ATM) to raise the coin cash! Have on 3 occasions (over many years) not been able to get money from an ATM because internet link not working - Once had no cash and had to find someone to borrow money as needed for travel needs. Also had ATM out of funds, and wonder where the next ATM was. I live in a village - cash is main means of payment -

Non-Immigrant O (Spouse/Dependent)
Hi! I want to get a Non-Immigrant O (Spouse/Dependent) Visa based on having a Thai wife. We married this summer and back there didn't have time and were not so focused on making a visa. But now we decided to do it for multiple reasons (biggest one is I have too many VOA stamps on my passport). We searched our options - abroad Laos (Can't until next year and they have e-visa which is not so good, because it requires not only to be abroad while doing it and also gonna take many days)- If I understand all correctly. Thailand CW - seems possible but one thing stands out. Opening a bank account! Already visited a few branches and all declined, saying can't open on (VOA stamp) and they need different types of visa which is of course not possible to do unless you have a bank account. Frustrating, even after visiting banks last weekend with my wife I saw her tears and disappointment. Is it possible to open a bank account in Bangkok with only a marriage certificate and visa on arrival stamp? (Without agents) Or any other way I can make Non-Immigrant O (Spouse/Dependent) Visa.. Thank you for help, I've been reading this thread for a while already. Missed my chance in Laos when I could've done without the bank :( Yes I think in the future it can be done with a different bank (homecountry) but unfortunately it is not a decent option for me now.
