canuckamuck
I don't know if this belongs in the Visa forum or the travel one, so I am posting it general. I am making a visa run to Savankhet, but I am looking for tips for getting from Mukdahan to Savankhet. I understand there are different ways to go. I just found my way to the border last time by tuk tuk, which was lame, but I was really tired and wasn't very sharp. I hear you can take a Savan vegas bus, but don't know how to arrange that or what it costs. there is also a different bus, bit I don't know where to catch it either. Anyhow, any tips would be appreciated any guest house tips for Savanakhet would be appreciated too, I forgot where I stayed last time. How much is it to stay at the casino? transam
You can park your motor in a covered compound at M for 150bht, 100m from border. Take the bus (50bht) across the bridge. TukTuk to consulate, couple of grim motels 100m away.
canuckamuck
http://www.savanvegas.com/visarun/ TV Sponsor. Well that Savan Vegas visa run package is quite tempting. Can't see how I could pass that up. Thanks crazy buffalo!
Sateev
You can get the Savan Vegas bus, by advance arrangement, at their office, just before the border checkpoint, if you are going to stay with them. Best to get there early, because the Consulate only accepts applications until 11:00am. The Savan Vegas staff will do the whole thing for you, so you can spend the maximum amount of time in their casino...
