Received Samsung Account Update In My S3.

Featured Replies

Is there anyone received an update in your SGS3 samsung account today? I just got it awhile ago but i didn't know what was that for? Could it be a preparation for jelly bean? Anyone got an idea?

You might be better off asking the nods to move this to the mobile phone forum and/or check there as may have been answered.

From V3 an hour ago:

A new version of the Android 4.1.1 Jelly Bean update for the Samsung Galaxy S3 has appeared online, raising hopes that the final version may be pushed to customers sooner rather than later.

Picked up by the Sam Mobile site, version I9300XXDLI5 of the Galaxy S3 Jelly Bean firmware is said to be the most stable of the leaked versions to date, and is apparently "very much near perfect".

If this is the case, then Samsung may be able to roll out the upgrade to all Galaxy S3 customers in the coming weeks, which will be a pleasingly short turnaround, especially when you consider how long it took manufacturers to sort out Ice Cream Sandwich.

I think the SGS3 (I9300/I9300T) launched locally with 4.0.3, and an OTA update has since been made available to 4.0.4.

4.1.x, in any sort of official release, may be available as early as next month (October).

There are some Samsung leaks, and Google official/custom ROMs, available for 4.1.x. I've been running 4.1.1 (Google) on my SGS1 and SGS2 for ~ a month or so. It is impressive.

Samsung account and ChatOn all updated - as not through Google Play didn't notice a changelog or what's new list

I hope so because Samsung historically have been absolutely crap at upgrades.

I generally find these updates absoulutley no different at all and am amazed how people are desperate to get them.

Its been released in Poland apparently...........Google search

Really? You didn't notice the difference between Froyo, Gingerbread, Honeycomb and Ice Cream Sandwich?

Wow.

Seriously? Have you ever not see the difference? Maybe you never owned any Android smartphone.

Re the OP: One of the updates is to patch the USSD flaw, so install them.

4.0.3 to 4.0.4 cleared up a potentially nagging WiFi issue, incorporated some performance enhancements and included some bug fixes.

I've been using Jellybean (Android 4.1.1) on a SGS2 for a ~ 4 weeks and can say that it is impressive, with excellent multi-tasking and very quick performance
