I applied for a 1 year extension on my non b visa. A document was missing (photo showing logo) and I was told to send it by messenger. They put a stamp for staying 1 month more and a paper for reporting in on a that day. They kept the application form and the money. Do I need to fill in the form and pay again or just go and get the new stamp (hopefully for 1 year this time)?

Depends on what the stamp in your passport says. If it says under consideration, you don't have to fill in a new form or pay again. If it is a normal extension of 30 days, you would need to fill things out again and pay again.

But best is to ask the officer you spoke to.

You need to make sure that Immigration have the missing document a.s.a.p as they will hold back your papers, which need to sent on to head office for approval, until this missing document is supplied.

Don't wait until the 'Under Consideration .. Visit this office in person on dd/mm/yy' date before taking this document.

The document was a photo, we already submitted the photos and everything but they wanted a different photo of the office door. We sent that photo by messenger 1 day after. And today I went to immigration, get queue number and finally got the 1 year extension :-)

Thanks for your replies and concerns, very helpful as usual.

I just completed my 1 year extension. I went to immigration with all the required paperwork and in turn was sent to Vientenne to leave Thailand and return. Upon return to Thailand my visa was stamped with a one year extension, which negated all the paperwork and the only thing I had to do then was get the re-entry permit. 3800 BHT. No muss or fuss. Done complete. Anyone else do this? First timer here....

Explain what you had? You do not obtain one year stay on entry with anything but a multi entry non immigrant OA visa that is still valid and issued for long stay (retirement). You do not need to visit immigration for such an entry so suspect you were talking about making a 90 day address report and then exited Thailand and returned for a new one year stamp from the original visa you obtained in home country?

You are not sent to Vientiane with TM.7 extension of stay paperwork from Immigration.
