Had the idea, to give the profile pic a try.

Took the wrong picture (1), it wasn't a square.whistling.gif

Deleted it, uploaded another one (2), but (1) showed up, instantly. hit-the-fan.gif

Ok, thought about this

"PLEASE NOTE: After uploading or changing your avatar/photo it may take up to 10 minutes before it is published"

waited an h or so, still (1)!

can't even change the cropped area anymore.

Deleted (1) again, waited several h, and tried to upload (2) again, some minutes ago

Again, instantly, (1) got shown.

Any secret, that I'm not aware of?1zgarz5.gif

But anyway, have things to do, now. burp.gif .

Check on this 2morrow

i like his current avatar

Thank you! giggle.gif

Looks like, it will be 'the one', for the future.

I tried again, to change to another picture, but:

Still the first uploaded one ( I've 'deleted' it twice, yesterday) is online.

Will give it a little time, again, but I don't hold my breath.

Moving to forum support

1. Have you refreshed your cache?

2. what avatar do you see?

3. did you make sure your avatar was not too large?

Thanks for trying to help

1. yes and automatic. But one time from hand, right now

2. at time, I see a badly cropped picture (can't even change that!), with a 'headless', sitting on a toilet, and a footless, standing on one.

3. not by size (40kb), and by pixel, shouldn't be a problem, only 2xx to 4xx:

"Once uploaded, you can adjust the cropped image.

Recommend an image 200px or larger"

So what picture do you see, at time?

Edit: the 'Remove Photo' button is meant for removing the uploaded picture, right?

Cause I used it a couple of times, already.

I was hopeful, that a reset at midnight will give me a clean start. But....!

I see the cropped image in your avatar, I see a gold coloured chap in your profile, could be an ISP caching issue.

Here we go!

Thanks for the hint. I checked with a web proxy, could see the picture (2), too.

Thanks.

Nothing much to do about, I think!

It can take as much as 3-5 days for some ISP caches to catch up.

Maybe time, for a new topic:

How many of the TV-members see the 'golden' picture. Who is your ISP, where are you located?

I'm kidding, but:

i like his current avatar

What did you see, that time? Maybe my 'Thank you' was inappropriate, b/c I meant it funny, thinking you see the 'no avatar' pic.

Fun, with my avatar? Any loophole, like in the movie, and I don't know about it? I have to check in the help department, me think!

Thanks for pointing me in the right direction!

I had the same prob before. It takes some time for your avatar to be approved, that' s all, no loophole. The solution was to remain patient.
