Pattaya Mayor Gets Immersed In Storm Drain Cleaning

PATTAYA:--Pattaya’s Lord Mayor and his staff personally inspected the recent cleaning of drainpipes in the Lan Pho market area of Na Kleu. The mayor assured residents that the city has a long-range plan to ease flooding problems. About 20 million THB is budgeted for drainage projects this year, he said.

PATTAYA – October 4, 2012 [PDN]: at 1 p.m., the cleaning of drainage pipes in at the old Lan Pho market in Na Kleu, Pattaya, was personally overseen by Pattaya officials that included the Lord Mayor of Pattaya, Mr. Ithiphol Khunpleum; Mr. Veerawat Kakhai, Deputy Lord Mayor of Pattaya; Mr. Virat Jirasripaithoon, Director of Sanitation Technical, Pattaya; the committee of Pattaya; and related staff.

City officials checked the cleaning of the drainage pipes by the contractors and employees who worked together with enthusiasm. Mr. Ithiphol said that recent heavy rains in Pattaya and nearby areas has caused water damage in the city’s lower areas, but the city has quickly addressed problems by cleaning the garbage from the drainage pipes to let the water flow conveniently in all areas.
