How To Send Sms (Text) To Thailand

Featured Replies

I am trying to send a text message (sms) to a friend in Thailand. I don't know much about texting because I rarely use it here in the U.S. I have tried sending via Skype sms and Google Voice sms but my friend says that he has not received them. My friend has 1-2 Call. Does the mobile carrier make a difference. Is there a reputable service that ThaiVisa users recommend?

Try +66 and then forget the 0.

What scully said, should work.

Some US cell companies do not work with Thai companies as far as SMS/TXT. I had Sprint at one time, and it did not work with DTAC. I would sent TXT, they looked like they had been sent, but they were never received. I switched to T-Mobil, and never had another problem. Check the details of the carrier, and be sure they work with 1-2 Call

Or, what the other guys said ^^^^^
