Need cheap collapsible cane. For walking as opposed to caning

You can get a rather amusing but serviceable Burmese Army Walking Stick that is on sale in a number of places including the Gallery restaurant on the river. From memory it splits into two parts for easier packing & on the display stand there is a very funny 'history of the walking stick' brochure. For something more serious I would think that a medical supplies shop such as the one opposite Maharaj hospital on Suthep road would be a good place to try.

Using a cane myself I would not recommend the Burmese waking stick. It is just that a walking stick. A cane needs strength in case you misstep which is easy to do on the side walks here.

Also a cane should be a definite length according to your how tall you are.

I have a strong walking stick (cane) and also a proper umbrella based on a strong, solid wood stick. Both these are a shade too long. Want to find a shop that will professionally/properly remove the tip - rubber and metal, respectively - lop off a bit of the wood and replace the tips. Appreciate suggestions.

I would love to find a shillelagh or as I’d like to call it, a soi măa máai (soi dog stick/rod). Seriously, I’d would really, really like one.

Take the end off of a golf club and you have a great stick to use against soi dogs. Very light, very strong.
