Kids On School Break In Cm; What Are Your Plans?

Featured Replies

My gf's 5 year old son is coming to stay with us here in CM for 3 weeks while he is on school break. He doesnt have any friends at my condo so he will be with us most of the time.

So what are you doing with your kids while they are on school break? I would like some ideas.

Sympathy for your situation, of course, since you apparently don't seem to consider children other than as a hindrance! Parking the boy in front of a TV all the time or with some "interactive" game isn't any more than cyber-sitting.

Children are important! Take a break! Take some time to play! It can be fun!

Hope he doesn't pee in his sleep!

Mapguy if you dont have anything constructive to say, then mind your own business.

I simply asked what people are dong with their kids during break. I didnt ask your opinion on anything.

I did suggest something constructive: You might take a break, too, pay attention to the child, and have some fun! smile.png

Mapguy gave you a couple of suggestions. You could ask your girl friend. Or you could just take him out to see the sights. There are tons of places to take a youngster in and around Chiang Mai.

That's a bit bloody harsh. You also said in your post "I would like some ideas2. Mapguy gave you some do's and don'ts in response.

To save yourself some grief, can I suggest you talk, first to your gf, then to her son. You'll soon get some ideas from that and then you should be able to give the wee guy a good time.

I put this into google (not hard to do!) "childrens things to do in chiang mai"... Go on. Give it a try, maybe you'll be pleasantly surprised.....(and don't bite people who are trying to help you!)

Kids like water, find a nice swimming pool, buy him a super water gun, also nice is canoe. If he is interested in any sports, buy him some tools. Visit the hot springs, night safari, zoo, learn him to cooke pancakes, etc. On a windy day, fly a kite with him. Hide a little attention around your house, let him look for it. (kids on that age like hiding games)
