I understand extending the Non-O visas for a year needs show of income or money in bank. But after the 90 days if i wanted to extend for just another 30-90 days is that possible at immigration without those income/bank statements?

I am married to a Thai and have a child here. My first thought was drive to Poipet and just get another 90 days but maybe i could just extend it here? Also it is a multi entry visa if it makes any diference.

I searched for an answer but all texts are about 1 year extentions.

Thanks

Andy

you can extend in Thailand for I think xx days, during that time you can get the money together.

xx as not sure of the amount of days and do not want to give false hopes.

How many more days do you wish to stay?

You have a non-O visa valid for multiple entries into Thailand for one year from its date of issue.

Additional 60 days: extension of stay for the reason of visiting your Thai wife: clause 2.24 of Thai Police Order 777/2551 and Immigration Bureau Order 305/2551, fee 1,900 Baht, no proof of money in the bank necessary.

Additional 90 days or more: border runs as long as your visa is valid, no proof of money in the bank necessary,

or one-year extension of stay for the reason of living with your Thai wife: clause 2.18 of Thai Police Order 777/2551 and Immigration Bureau Order 305/2551, fee 1,900 Baht, proof of money in the bank or income necessary.

Thank you for the answers.

Not really sure yet how long i will stay. I will probably go back to my home country early next year.

So after the first 90 days (which is later this week) i can extend for another 60 days at immigration. Then after those extra 60 days i can leave Thailand and come back again and get another 90 days?

My visa is valid till mid 2013.

Yes, you can. The 60 day extension costs 1,900 baht and you will need to take the misses and her ID-card and household registration with you to immigration, a long with a pass photo of yourself.

Was at immigration today and asked about it. Was hard to get them to understand what i was asking but the 4th person understood and said yes it is possible. Mostly they pushed the 1 year extention but a senior officer in one of the booths finally understood and said yes i can extend for 60 days. Just didn't want to wait for 50 people infront of me so will go another day early morning. Scary how they only processed 4 people in the 45 minutes i was there.

I guess you did not quote "60-day extension of stay for the reason of visiting your Thai wife: clause 2.24 of Thai Police Order 777/2551"

Remember to bring your wife along and the documents that Mario008 mentioned, but I guess you were told all the requirements when you were there on Monday.

Just to let everybody know i did this today. 1900thb and 3 hours of waiting. Luckily i was done about 5 minutes before noon when they take a break for an hour. They really should open more then 2-3 counters.
