October 22, 201213 yr What do you reckon? For me: probably Mukdahan. Great Isaan-style life and food, and great views over the river towards Suwanakhet. And when I was there, easy visas, too!
October 22, 201213 yr Loei, more specifilly, Phu Reua and Phu Luang (Ban Dansai). If one can put up with the cold at night (and close to all day during the cold season), the calmness of these areas is amazing. So much visible in the night sky, and the betel nut trees are pretty plentiful in Phu Reua, too (some of the best I've ever had). Should be there soon in a couple of weeks. October 23, 201213 yr I generally like Isan (especially the city of Nong Khai), because of its beautiful landscape. And Phang Nga (especially Khao Lak) for mostely the same reason.
October 23, 201213 yr Author Pattani, never a dull moment, every trip out of the fortress is an adventure. You live in a fortress?
October 29, 201213 yr Nakhon Sawan. No airport means not so many tourists. Very underestimated and many untouched places. Some of the best food in the country, and currently going through an economic boom.
