Can you still get a double entry tourist visa from penang consulate and if so how much does it cost - - and what currency do they want? Brit passport so assume all I need is the usual form, photo and money.

Anyone recommend an hotel under 1000 baht that has a visa agent on the premesis? Will be taking the Thai girlfriend so no additional entertainment needed...

Does Penang Consulate have its own website?

Yes. Twice the cost of a single entry. Malay Ringgit only.

Continental Hotel on Penang Road is very good, has visa agent at front desk and in your price range.

If I knew I would have told you but as I have not had need of a tourist visa from them I don't keep that information handy. Perhaps if you did a search for visas and Penang it might come up. But if you can afford the hotel and the GF don't believe it should be a major problem.

100RM per entry, max of 3 entries. Continental is ok, near all the important stuff. I don't know about the hotel's agent though, I use my own guy, or rather used to.
