We use Purita. 027527223. Buy a book of raffle type tickets for 1000 baht and you can have one bottle per ticket. You must buy the bottles first, I think they cost around 30 baht each. They come once a fortnight to our flats.

Hi. Anybody have any rcomendations for large bottle water delivery in bangkok (Bangkhuntian) Thanks

It depends on your dispenser i found the Thai bottles dont work with the dispenser we brought with us when we moved here. They have a strange top that you pull completely off, unlike other countries where you can turn the bottle upside down without getting wet.

As such we use Minere for delivery of 6 litre bottles. www.minere.com

Try putting a sharp knife through the dimple in the plastic top in an X. Then you only get a small squirt of water as you put it on to the dispenser instead of a deluge! :o

I cant believe it’: you actually brought a water dispenser with you from abroad! Isn’t the water supplier supposed to give you a dispenser to fit his bottles?

We have not bought bottled water in Bangkok since tests done in 1980 showed higher bacteria in bottled water than in the public system. Bangkok water is tap drinkable when it leaves the processing plant but there is always the chance it may pick up nasties on the way to your home so a filter is used by most here. There have been several threads if you want to make a search. Basic filter is the type you find in most shophouse restaurants of carbon/risen/ceramic filter in a plastic or stainless steel enclosure. Home models often are cartridge type now and you will find many at Lotus or Home Pro type places. Higher level is UV treatment and reveres osmosis. But the old ceramic filter (or the new plastic version) that has been used for the last hundred years is still all most people would need for good drinking water.

Buy a sharp water cooler from powerbuy (around 4,000 baht) and either fill the bottles yourself if there is a filtration machine in your apartment block or order from someone like Mr. Sparkle which costs 45 baht/20 litres. Either way its cheap. The advantages of having a water cooler is that the water is always cold :o

Steer clear of "sparkle" drinking water.. Theres something not rite in that stuff, if u open a bottle and leave it over night when u open it in the morning its like a bottle of pepsi with all the gases etc coming out. Im 99% sure its that stuff that gave me a severe bout of stomach cramps once. :o

yeh Im in Chiang Mai and looking to save some money anyway I can at the mo.

I notice that some people have water delivered, like in a crate. Seems to be the same water they deliver to schools, how can I order this and is it cheap. Is it reverse osmosis stuff...?

We have one of those machines here and the amount you have to consume to quench your thirst is unbelievable. I now drink one bottle of minere a day from 7/11 but is there a cheaper option for me to do (if I get some type of water delivered or in bulk...?)

Anyone know how much it is normally...?

cheers guys
