Honda Wave 125.... bullet proof and easy to ride.

would that be new or used for the price, would you have a pic?

You can get a Zongshen Save (3-years warranty), Lifan Ares110 (2-years warranty) or a Sym Bonus (3-years warranty) which all are in reach of you budget.

The Zongshen and Lifan are both built in Thailand and the Sym Bonus is made in vietnam, but very good quality.

of course never buy these Chinese crap as they will bring more problems for you then benefit and no resale value for Chinese bikes.

go for wave 125 or prefer something scooter. Honda wave 125 - do not get 110cc - ranging around 15000 to 30000 for a reasonable one.

Scooters go around 30,000 thb for something good Yamaha Nuovo 135 or anything Honda is good enough. Dont forget, Honda is good for resale value

good luck.

Agree 100 % with above post if you want reliability better to buy 2 nd hand Honda, yamaha than any off the new Chinese cheapies

Joke for today, buy a 20,000 to 30,000 THB motorcycle and worry about the resale value... hahaha. Yes, that's the best joke I hear today...

By the way the Honda's, Yamaha's and Suzuki's sold in Thailand are made in Thailand, the Zongshen and the Lifan are also made in Thailand...

Richard man, i do not want to go forward for a Chinese crap fight with you again really, no need for this. I respect your posts but maybe i am thinking different from you so you have to respect this as well. There is nothing personal man, we are all riders here after all.

And, resale value of a 30,000 thb second hand Honda is better that a first hand Lifan i am sure.

A friend got an old Honda Dream for 2,000 then spruced it up a bit and got 10,000 for it.

I had a Honda Wave 110i (Fuel Injection) and loved it...

OP, if you buy used than better ask a friend with good knowledge of bikes to go with you and have a look at the bike. Even a used "Japanese brand bike" (made in Thailand) can have problems. I bought two used Yamaha scooters. Both had small problems that were not noticeable at the test drive. Most Thai people ride their bike without caring about service and repairs. And if they do repairs its often done with cheap non OEM parts. Better be prepared for that.

For 30k Baht you should get a good used bike. But the SYM or the Lifan aren't bad too. But they are more difficult to get spare parts.

I have a Honda Scoopy - I with 2000 Kilometers on it, about one year old. Send me a Private Message for additional details.

Try to stretch the budget to buy a new Honda scooter.

You wouldn't believe the crap that many locals do to try and mod their bikes, then sell them when it goes tits up.

Neighbour bought a 1 yr old click.

10 km down the road it blew up. Ol' matey had tried to bore the piston himself.

Plus maintenance issues. If it still runs, don't spend money on it. Buying oil is a waste. Local logic.

Well, it's up to you mate, I'm just trying to help you while helping myself at the same time. My Honda is new for all intents and purposes. It just sits around gathering dust for the most part. Just thought I could save you some heartache and about half the cost of a new one off the showroom floor.

Cheers
