Willhow,as is often the case on Thai Visa, there are many people who would try and help you. But first you must explain your circumstances, and surrounding information.

1.How long was the family Visa for?

2.Has she a return ticket to the UK ?

3.How long had she been in the UK ?

4.It seems if she is in Thailand, with an expired family visa,

then a new visa of some description would be necessary (possibly a Settlement Visa)

I'm sure someone will come along shortly that will know more than I in these particular circumstances.

I am moving this topic from the forum "Thai visas, residency and work permits" to the forum "Visas and migration to other countries.

If you want your wife to live with you in the UK then she will need a settlement visa. The current financial requirements are fairly difficult to meet if you have a low income, but if you are receiving Disability Living Allowance, then you are exempt from the financial requirement. You will, however, still have to show that you have an income that is adequate to support ( and accommodate ) your wife, but it doesn't have to be 18,600 a year.
