Doing the touristy thing with my gf today and was just curious if there was a better strategy, or should we just dive right in. Also, are there any "non-street food" restaurants in the area you'd recommend?

It's all "street food", and as was said - get a map and memorise the basic layout -- or have fun and dive right in. Keep your bag on your front and nothing in hip pockets

Just dive in it and have fun, I try the map before, but it was no big help, just walk around, it is a great place
