Piling started a few months ago on this 1,000 condo development no doubt as investors had contracted ..... 3 large cranes installed ........... now grass on site growing well ............ no recent activity ......... was informed that correct paperwork was incomplete hence the lack of progress. Any other updates would be useful.

The EIA (Environmental Impact Assessment) is required to be signed off before construction begins. The EIA has just been approved which means construction can now start. Although a slight delay, the owners of Atlantis expect no delays on completing the project. That's the latest information I have from the project.

Excuse the cynicism Howard but aren't you now "into" real estate?

Lots of activity today..............We all know that projects start late and sometimes completion is overdue....suppose its fodder for the neysayers that wish they could afford to buy.

That has nothing to do with it.....just transmitting factual information on behalf of the Developer to those who are viewing this thread. If I had ended the post with ".......and by the way, if you would like to buy in Atlantis contact me on.........", then that would be different and I would have probably been sent to the TV Naughty Corner for a while to contemplate my actions smile.png

I wonder what those who "invested" in Ocean One or the first incarnation of Waterfront would say about that?

The list of buildings that never got above ground level here is quite long, and the list of property-related scams is even longer. And that's definitely fodder for people who have money and who prefer to keep it in their possession.

The list of condo building buildings that actually finished are much longer, thankfully. I am no expert, but I would say +95% are completed.

And one can always buy a unit in a building that has already been finished. No lack of available units! ;)

For me to think about putting any money in I would want the figure to be 100%. Anything less is bad news as far as I'm concerned.

And of course that doesnt even start on the question of the scams.
