tuffy
I have heard serveral good things about Bamboo flooring. Does anyone have this this in your house or have any opinions or experience with Bamboo flooring? I have heard that is it very hard and durable but haven't seen it for myself. Also is there a dealer or manufacture in the Pattaya/Rayong area? The wife just called a place in BKK and got a price or 1450 Baht per SQM so if that is the case that seems super expensive. koolbreez
Bamboo flooring was tried in the USA, but it was found to have no rigidity so it failed to gain usage, other than for the look. It bounces, and needs solid rigid sub-flooring.

Mousehound
Looks fantasic. Needs battons underneath. Terrible stuff to work with - hair splinters like glass fibre. Can fade badly if exposed to light. Loved it when it went down - not so sure now.
guzzi850m2
Bamboo flooring, never heard about before unless we are talking about a raised bamboo hut, he-he. Anybody got links or photos?

sezze
Bamboo flooring is a very strong floor , and is used like other wood covering floor panels . Bamboo is extremely hard and durable , and is used in heavy traffic areas (like some airports ) . The price in europe is not cheaper then other wood floor panels . I do not know if it is available in Thailand and at what price .

trogers
Have installed solid wood flooring panels in one of my condo units for 5 years. Price then was at Bt1,150/sqm for bamboo veneer finished (supply only). Got it from http://www.leowood.com/solidfloor_e.html
