Varicose Vein

Featured Replies

Saw a couple postings on TV about it, but not much responses or replies. I will try again.

The gf has some painful Varicose Veins probably from standing at the salon everyday. She went to Yanthee for a quote and they quoted 80K (40 a leg), but it sounded like they wanted to do stripping. Surgically remove the veins and keep her inpatient for about 4 days they said.

I was wondering if anyone has any experience with EVLA treatments or Sclerotherapy? Does anyone have recommendations on a place that does any of these treatments?

I have suggested the compression stockings. Where can I find those? I have also told my gf to elevate the legs and get her ass into the pool for a swim more often. Hope some people can help share their experiences or insight.

EVLA is a better way to go but you may find some stab avulsions are necessary as well. The whole thing can be done with local anaesthetic providing there are not too many avulsions needing done, in which case for the benefit of the patient and avoiding too many multiple injections it is probably best to have a general anaesthetic.

The stockings are best kept on for at least a fortnight, all the time unless having a shower etc.

I wish your gf the best whatever her choice.
