Moon Halo over Thailand

Pattaya: Moon halo above Thailand during the night

According to experts, a moon halo occurs during stormy periods, such as those that Pattaya and Thailand in general have experienced for the past few weeks.

One of our radio presenters tells us that his wife was lying prostrate in the road praying as we are about to reach Loy Kratung, however the phenomena is caused by millions of tiny ice crystals which refract and reflect the light.

Bummer, thought it was a new xbox game.

No the EYE of GOD playing his video game on looking onto earth..have seen this with the sun also in Canada a ring..nice to be observant during some much of out time in looking at computer/Ipods and not at nature or REAL time with friends..ban all media devices for a day...just to see how addictive our society is and you will see EYE to EYE with other people and not a glass device making us like zombies! Have a great day and turn off your media devices for one day and just see whom will talk to you face to face..and enjoy this moment as this is what it was like years ago...real time with real people! Ron

Is there a link? I have the new ipad and it has a stargazer app. You point the camera at the sky and it figures out what the names of the stars and such. Highly recommend! Edited by FOODLOVER
