Recommended Hotel Over New Year Period?

I have friends coming to Chiang Mai who need two double hotel rooms within a few minutes of the Night Bazaar. They figure on spending up to 2000 Baht a night, and will be in town for ten nights from 27th December to 6th January.

Finding good rooms is proving difficult because of the season (of course).

The need for a location close to the Night Bazaar is due to mobility problems that one of the friends suffers. They'll take tuk tuks to and from the Bazaar if necessary.

Can anyone recommend a quality place in that price bracket? Anywhere strikingly bijoux/boutique-ish that you have personal experience of? Any hotel owners/partners out there who want to contact me by PM?

Thanks,

pj

The internet is a wonderful thing. Since you found your way here on it, you should be able to use Google. It can do wonders!

That's very helpful, thanks. I come asking for people's personal recommendations and get a smartypants comment directing me to Google. Thanks for making the effort.

Thanks for the link. I'm hoping that someone with good experiences of particular establishments can come up with recommendations, or even for an owner to get in touch. Twenty room nights at anything up to 2000 Baht a night is a decent bit of business for someone. If that doesn't work, I'll resort to Agoda, etc.

Yeah, looking at a sub-2000 baht budget near the Night Bazar I would second the Centara Duangtawan.

My first recommendation though would be to look for something in the old town and not near the Night Bazar.

I think they wont go wrong if they use the Duangtawan hotel, I have stayed here many times and there really is no better location for the night bazzar - I also like the CM Hotel near the night market - actually even cheaper but a great place.
