Looking For Capoeira In Phuket

Featured Replies

Hello there!

Is there any capoeira group or individuals playing capoeira in Phuket? I would like to find someone to play/practice capoeira together.

My name is Alex, I'm practicing capoeira since 2008. Every four months I visit Phuket for one week. And I really miss my capoeira classes and practice. If there is anybody in Phuket, let's unite and play together.

Capoeira is a Brazilian martial art that combines elements of dance and music. It was created in Brazil mainly by descendants of African slaves with Brazilian native influences[citation needed], probably beginning in the 16th century. It is known by quick and complex moves, using mainly power, speed, and leverage for leg sweeps.

I think you can find B-Boys and breakdancers up at the park by the river near to Khao San Road, not sure about Western girls sticking their fat asses in the air very slowly though!

Thanks, Kerobokan! But B-boys are not capoeiristas, not even closer (well, maybe thery are good as a newbie/students), I'm just looking for some capo-maniacs, who are interested in some practice.

I found capoeira in Bangkok, Chiang Mai, but not in Phuket... so far :( But thank you anyway.
