Will they actually sell the Moriwaki CB500F? The more I see it, the more I like it.

the sales girl said no they wont, just for show

That's what they said about the Mugen Cbr250 back at release in 2011. Now you can buy it from the dealer for an over inflated price of 150000b

sent from my Q6

He's some of the pics from the show you might really want to look at.

My wife wants to go with me. What excuses can I make?

There's a terrible smell in the stadium....which cums from all the seamen dribbling on the floor. cheesy.gif

To my eye those Triumph speed triples are the nicest looking bikes. I'd be riding one tomorrow if only they could sell them locally for a decent price.

Yes sadly many nice bikes are just crazy priced once they have been taxed for import.

I guess I see the logic in some ways for Thailand's economy.

But it does bite for those of us willing to pay fair price for a good bike but not double

what they cost in our home countries.

Which by the way in my case is not the country of origin of the bikes either ;)

I was excited when I heard the pricing on the new Honda 500...but then I saw the pics...If there ever was a more boring looking, soul-less bike, the CB500 trumps them all. BIIIIIG YAAAAAAWN

yeah i thought the same thing after seeing it. i know its a good thing that these bikes are now available at reasonable prices here but after seeing them in person they just looked small, cheap and boring to me so il be saving my pennies and wait n see for now.

Did KTM have a presence at the expo?

I have noticed they are doing more with some smaller bikes

& wondered if things like the 125,200 & 390 Dukes would be available

KTM was not there, but will be at the motorbike festival in Central World.

Their small Dukes are too expensive anyway. 200,000 baht for the 200.

When will bike fest set up at Central World, please?

Re Peugeot girl in blue dress. That is quite possibly one of the ugliest dresses in my auto show memory. Too bad, too, because she's quite pretty.

Edit: PS Big thank you to all the photographers!

KTM Duke 200 & 690 both available from Mityon in Pattaya.

Thanks

Although not a big fan of single cylinder that KTM 200 & the next 390

look like quality work. Good suspension & a single that has an interesting bore & stroke ratio

& decently low curb weight.
