Boonthavorn: Why To Stay Away From This Place?

Here is my story just thought I would share:

June 2011 : I bought a townhouse and needed a kitchen, so went Boonthavorn pinkao bought the tiles and the kitchen, paid the deposit they said need to wait 3-6 month and was waiting for a kitchen.

End of 2011: Floods happened so I thought they need more time to rebuild the kitchen etc..

(Tons of calls have been made all they say we have to check for you and we will call you back. They never do of course.)

May 2012: Went Boonthavorn and I was like where is my kitchen, they said you didn't confirm it is not built yet. Um-mm no one let me know that I need to confirm maybe you should train your customer service. U-mm what the hell is the deposit for, if it is not for confirmation? SMH

August 2012: They came measured the kitchen like 5 times in 2 weeks, then they are ready to come put the tiles. The tiles took 2 weeks to put and they realized that they miscalculated and need extra 12,000 baht worth of tiles. So had to wait an extra month for the tiles to come, and when they came they were different color so they had to put them where the cabinets go so they don't show, I'm like fine go ahead I just want my freaking kitchen. (btw more than 10 tiles were broken which they wouldn't return)

September 2012: Kitchen installation time, yeyyyyy. Finally got too excited the kitchen is here, I already bought all the built-in appliances, and gave them the measurements long time ago. The worker comes and install the kitchen horribly of course after damaging the tiles and two days of work and putting the cabinets on and off many times where I had a majestic line of holes on my tiles. That is when the worker comes up to me and says there is a mistake, the measurements are wrong and I go nuts.

He was like we need to rebuild the kitchen and come reinstall.

November 2012: Still without a full kitchen

After tons of calls same answers same shitty service, everyday they say next week.

What would you do?

If I wanted tiles I would go to the store and buy them, if not in stock try another store.

If I wanted someone to fit a kitchen I would employ a tradesman competent in fitting kitchens.

Be aware not all these stores employ their own staff, most will charge you say 6 or 700 baht then subcontract to outsiders paying them 3 or 400 baht, pocketing the difference for themselves.

I believe Boonthaworn does just that, have you spoken to the store manager and confirmed who these tradesmen actually work for, are they Boonthaworn employees or not?

The first red flag was 3-6 months to build a kitchen.

The mob in HomePro is exactly the same, so steer clear of both of them. I had similar experience.

Avoid them like the plague....go try smaller independant kitchen builders, they should do a better job of customer service as they rely on it rather than the big showroom and mass marketing.

I always use local tradesmen, not easy to find, but worth the effort.

Once you have one don't lose him, her, like gold dust
