elektrified
Anyone know the dates of this Festival? I believe last year it ended on the King's Birthday - the 5th. Drove by this evening but didn't see any signs anywhere. It looked like everything was still set up even though the Festival was closing down for the night. Thanks in advance. DowntownAl
5th to 10th of December. See www.nimmansoi1.com I just looked at their site and can't find the dates on the moving targets (posters with the bottoms cut off) from 2009. It looked like the 2012 edition said "13th go on..." have no idea what that means. Got a link for the hours, days etc, that I've obviously overlooked somewhere. Well, I'll be over that way this evening, I'll see what they have on site.
clockman
If this was the best of Chiang Mai creativety, Iam not impressed. Could find the same things in the night market, mostly tat!

DowntownAl
I spotted at least three actual artist booths, mixed in with a couple of dozen crafty types buried under a mountain of over-priced trinkets and housewares. This is just a thought but, shouldn't an art show be about art being shown?
Sao Jiang Mai
You are right, were it called the Art Festival! But it is called the Nimmanhaemin Art and Design Promenade (NAP)...hence the crafts and designed products.

elektrified
I always have enjoyed the live music in past years. Any good live music this year? I was thinking of going Saturday. Yes there a lot of over-priced trinkets and the like.
