Mr. Stallman is correct....Ubuntu DOES track your habits and reports them back. That's the definition of spyware.

And to make matters worst they're doing it for a purely commercial reason. They're not recording driver crashes, reporting them back, making corrections and pushing that upstream. They're monitoring YOUR computer and selling that information...I can't think of any good way to put that.

Sorry to say it, but Ubuntu sucks. The initial vision was good and they did a lot for the Linux cause. Then they totally lost the plot with Unity and developed a certain arrogance; its been heading downhill from there.
