12/12/12 Marriage Fever hits Pattaya

PATTAYA:--Pattaya and the rest of the world will have to wait until the next Millennium to see a date whereby the day, month and year are all the same. On this auspicious day, many couples decided to pledge their everlasting love for each other by registering their marriage at the local District Office.

We spent the day at Banglamung District Hall which was full of couples waiting to marry. There was some concern in the morning when the computer system required to register marriages failed. This lasted only one hour until the computer systems returned to normal and the marriages could continue. The office was open until 6pm to accommodate the hundreds of couples who wanted to marry.
