butterisbetter Posted December 13, 2012 Share Posted December 13, 2012 Our Christmas Mince pies are made with a butter short crust that has some almond flour and a bit of lemon peel essence. The mince itself is made with vegetable shortening instead of suet to accommodate our vegetarian customers. We didn't use butter because that would change the traditional flavor too much.
