I am moving soon to Chaing Mai from the USA I wish to rent a detached house for between 10-20THB a month. Should I get a real estate agent or hire someone to help me scope the area and make phone calls to Thai owners set up to and view homes? Can pay 20USD an hour.

What are your prerequisites? No of bedrooms, distance to city, transport, have animals, etc.

There are many moobans (housing developments) all around CM - Sansai to the NE of city is popular, also Mae Hia on south side.

Rentals from 10k + outgoings; (Sat Tv, Internet, security, power and water) runs to ~ 15k total/all up, per month for us in a 2 bed/2 bath detached house with nice garden 3k's from CNX.
