A 28-year-old man was arrested by Nakornpathom police for mailing abortion drugs to customers all over Thailand. Officers seized a list of more than 1,000 customer names and addresses. The abortion drugs include those to be taken orally, or inserted in the vagina.

NAKORN PATHOM – December 24, 2012 [PDN]; at 4 p.m., a report by a police undercover agent of a man mailing abortion drugs to customers was received by Pol. Maj. Theeravuth Sutthiphonpaisarn, inspector; and Pol. Col. Wattana Pim-ut, Superintendent, Muang Nakornpathom police station.

The suspect was identified as Mr. Anucha Saijai, age 28, from Tambon Nong-ngu-leurm, Amphur Muang, Nakornpathom province. Mr. Anucha was renting a room at Naphaporn mansion in Nakornpathom province, which he used to deliver abortion drugs by mail to customers all over country.

A detective police team was assigned to investigate and observe the behavior of Mr. Anucha. During a stakeout at the mansion, police saw Mr. Anucha loading a package of goods in a Toyota Soluna in the building parking lot, and was about to drive away.

So the police stopped him and asked to inspect his car. They discovered many abortion drugs and almost 100 small boxes containing abortion drugs already packed to send by mail.

So the police took the suspect to his rented room, where they discovered various types of abortion drugs, including one type of pill for oral consumption named MYPILL, and another type for insertion into the vagina called CYTOLOG TABLETS; and another drug named CYTOTEC, in hundreds of boxes.

Police also found more than 1,000 instruction documents for customers that indicated the methods to use for each type of abortion drug. There was also an account list of 1,000 customer names and addresses from all over the country, mostly from women ordering the product. [more...]
