Sushi Restaurant In Pattaya

Featured Replies

We’ve seen a few restaurants with sushi, but does anyone have any recommendations and what’s the cost at these places?

Thanks!

I'd be surprised if there's any place in town with world class sushi. The masses seem content with chains like Fuji and Zen (or Thai street sushi, a tropical bacterial delightsick.gif ). I don't even know of one place in Pattaya that cooks ramen broth properly.

Lots of Japanese people live in Sriracha, that's probably where to find the good stuff short of Bangkok.

Best in Pattaya is ANEGO, but's it's not up to the standard of their Sri Racha restaurant. The sushi at the Sri Racha restaurant will make most of you change your expectation towards Nigiri sushi.

Cool. I wouldn't have even known to bother trying Anego Pattaya.

I would suggest that if you have time on your hands, to take the 40 baht bus to Robinson's @ Sri Racha and to try the Nigiri sushi there first. It's on the street behind Robinsons at open at 5.30pm. The cuts are so chunky, that you will forever feel cheated when you go elsewhere.

Then when you go to the Pattaya branch, you can show them a pic of the Sri Racha Nigiri, in order to spur them into action. :) It worked for me. :)

I like the sushi and sashimi sets at the resaurants on the 4th and 5th floors at Central. Not too pricey.

Went to ANEGO Pattaya last night. They were so busy, that they had almost run out of food. I emphasised that I wanted large sushi as in the Sri Racha branch. They almost got there. The prices had gone up since my previous visit.

There is a place called Chimaki on Soi 3 in Pattaya that supposedly has good sushi. I tried going there for dinner the other night and was ignored as it was packed with Japanese. Apparently they aren't so busy during lunch though, so maybe I will try again then.

Sounds like a good lead for Japanese food in general. I have noticed that place before at it looked intriguing.

On occasions I have seen lots of Japanese people diving into the sushi in the Thursday buffet at the Hilton and they didn't seem unhappy. Saw some today actually.

Their noodle broth isnt bad either. Nor are their Indian curries. And they do a very nice double-boiled pork rib and black mushroom soup.

Suits me anyway.
