Signs Of The Times - Bangkok Road And Information Signs

BANGKOK, 2 January 2013: Bangkok Metropolitan Administration plans to renew road and information signs across the capital in the lead up to the ASEAN Economic Community in 2015.

BMA deputy permanent secretary, Jumpol Sumpaopol, said signs would be in two languages, Thai and English, and improved to make them easier to read and more attractive to visitors.

Signs breakdown into three categories:

• Law enforcement signs will be in black letters on a white background;

• Warning sign such as traffic signs will be in black letters on a yellow background;

• Direction signs to police stations, hospitals, department stores, and temples will be in white letters on dark blue and green backgrounds
