I've been reading elsewhere of someone who was charged 300B for a residence certificate at Jomtien immigration just before Xmas 2012, and I was wondering if anyone else has had this happen to them or whether (as seems likely) that person was just unlucky or mistaken?

I got one done just a couple of days before the person in question and paid the usual 200B.

No big deal but forewarned is forearmed.

Today at the pohotocopy shop they wanted 800 Baht to do it. I refused.

Yes, 200 Baht for next day or 300 Baht same day. A wait of 30 minutes or so. Time for a coffee and back to pick up the paperwork.

It's 200 baht if you get there in the morning and pick it up in the afternoon. I paid 300 baht because I got there late and wanted it the same day.
