January 23, 201313 yr Try Footcontrol in Bangkok. Custom made inserts. How much are the typical inserts? (the link carefully avoids cost info lol)
January 23, 201313 yr I also have to be very careful with shoes and, basically, they are the only thing I will splurge money on. Have a look at Keen shoes, which have a wide toe box and good thick modern soles. They are very comfortable for walking. You can buy slip-ons in several colours and styles, including leather, partial leather and synthetic, as well as full canvas (cooler and lighter to walk in). They are available at Oakley on the second floor of Terminal 21, Bangkok. Here's a link to the Keen U.S. website (if the link is allowed).

January 23, 201313 yr Footcontrol may be wonderful people doing a great job and offering a great product. They lost my business by not addressing cost or credentials on their website and with this sentence: The Bangkok Foot Care Centre, Footcontrol Co.,Ltd. has been established since 1997 and is situated in the heart of Bangkok, Thailand. I guess this is the heart of Bangkok: The Bangkok Foot Care Centre is located in Bangkok near Bangkok bridge and Tok intersection, if starts from Rama 3 rd.,(outbound) - continue straight on through Tok intersection and go cross this intersection, - after crossing, stay on the left lane in the next 100 m. then prepare to turn left into Soi Mahaisawan 6, - go straight 200M. into the Soi, will see a row of big large townhouses - The clinic lab is the second one no.524 / 3, on your right hand NB : we can provide directions in Thai for your driver if needed. January 24, 201313 yr Have some shoes custom made here, not really expensive and you will forget you are even wearing shoes! You may have to look around a little bit bit it will be worth it! They do not cost anymore then imported western shoes and mine are the same quality as Italian handmade shoes.
January 24, 201313 yr I had a similar problem with my feet. The best high-over heel supporting shoes which would also serve as office wear as well as outdoors, are the Reebok's Ex-o-Hi Fit. I don't know if adding a link is allowed here, so I try: reebok.com/en-US/products/classics/footwear/exofit/black-j93807/
January 24, 201313 yr The remedy to foot pain when walking or running is a quality shoe with a good fit and a good custom made orthotic . I wear either ECCO or GEOX with a custom insole which I find I don't have tired feet at the end of the day.
