Hi guys.

My gf works mainly with hi so customers. Now is it that she's got invited on her wedding and of course she should bring me.

Now they know each other only through work and we both never met the groom. Neighter one of them has ever seen me.

I am always in for a party so that shouldnt be the problem. But it is my first wedding party from two Thai persons I know nothing about. All I know is that they are mid 20's same as we. Both thai and no drinkers. But very well off and for sure Hi-So.

Anyone has an idea of what is "normal" original but for sure, play safe?

Thanks very much

Standard practice will be cash in the envelope the invite came in. Usually placed in a box as you enter the wedding reception.

Leave the amount up to your girlfriend to decide.

Just to add. Don't expect a pissup. You will arrive, queue up to have photos taken with the bride and groom, next find somewhere to sit, there may or maynot be alcohol on the tables.

Food will be delivered followed by a few speeches and a video or 2.

A couple of hours later you queue again as you leave to have more photos taken with the bride and groom.
