Wow, it was the right moment... :-) Here I was lucky as well (not sure if i posted it somewhere already,,,?) That's an impressive shot Zappalot. Forgive me for asking.....do you have a lightning trigger?
zappalot Posted June 11, 2013 Posted June 11, 2013 no, I didn't use a lightning trigger, I didn't even know that such a thing does exist I used a tripod, exposed it 15 seconds to the light, the aperture was 10, I got up very early and had some luck as well. And then of course I worked a little bit with lightroom to enlighten the darker areas...
wiki12 Posted June 11, 2013 Posted June 11, 2013 Aye, I thought it was a longer exposure if not the trigger. Nice work, these shots can be a real test of patience!

rene123 Posted June 14, 2013 Posted June 14, 2013 Getting good evening and night shots with a point and shoot camera can be difficult because most of them try to average out the lighting and make them brighter. That is what I like about the little Nikon AW100. It has an over-ride option that allows you to brighten or darken the shot by 2 stops. It came in handy in Chiang Rai where the town clock is illuminated at night and changes colour at the hour change.
JimShortz Posted June 14, 2013 Posted June 14, 2013 very cozy.... Chiang Mai Goshawk, that is a great shot. Would you mind sharing the exif data? What were your settings for this shot? Thank you!

rene123 Posted June 15, 2013 Posted June 15, 2013 Although I didn't spend too much time there, Tak is an attractive small city situated on a river. I went out briefly to sample the night scene.

waza Posted July 27, 2013 Posted July 27, 2013 oilinki you should call the last one "talking with god" Or, as being agnostic, Aura of beautiful mind. The symbolism is strong with this. There was some procedure going on at the Chinese temple on the right. Lot's of people dressed in white addressed the ceremony. White is the colour of a funeral
