Bupa Or Axa? Or Something Else?

Featured Replies

I've always used the insurance from my country here in Thailand. But now I have to choose the local one. I skimmed some topics and it turned out that Bupa and AXA are the most popular ones.

I need insurance for 2-3 months for now and, truthfully, I'm short on time to compare which one is better and read the feedbacks about them. I also saw the poll http://www.thaivisa....t-insurance-poll, but there were no results yet at all saying which one is better or most popular.

So what do you recommend me as a simple, not too expensive and quite reliable insurance? And how much does it cost approximately?

Think you will find polices are for 12 month period as not designed for holidays - use Travel insurance for short trips ?

with AIA now myself - the missus worked for Aon as a broker for 17 years reviewing best policies and if she says the best one for me is AIA i'm not going to argue!!

funnily enough now she's quit, lots of friends are now calling her/me up for her advice on insuring their businesses, families, houses etc - might be a nice little freelance biz going there!!

AIA will not do policies for only 2/3 months plus AIA is a Life company from I see so you have to buy some (very expensive) life insurance with your medical insurance - the worst of both worlds - buy a stand alone policy from a real medical company was recommended to me

I think Bupa has some short term health insurance options.

My policy covers my daughter also - pm me your needs, basic details and I'll get a rough idea from her.
