Where Is Free Internet?

No way to get free internet when waiting in the terminal. Why it s so hard to get 2 hours of free internet in these Thai airports?

Consider an airport with opposite priorities. Changi Airport in Singapore. Not only free, unlimited wi-fi, but computer terminals throughout the airport for free use. All the Thai authorities need to do is to compare the numbers of tourists per capita in Singapore with the same statistics in Thailand. But no one is doing their homework, apparently. Or whoever COULD do their homework has their hand in the till, directly or indirectly.

Go across the bridge to the Amari....sit in the lounge and order a drink then ask for the wifi password. Peace and quiet and internet for the price of a drink. Juices are good.

Definitely frustrating at DMK - while not perfect at Suvarnabhumi, at least there are a few options for free internet there.

Nok Air provides it free at Don Meaung (you log in with your booking reference) - I wonder if this helps drive bookings to them when people are trying to choose between Air Asia, Nok Air, and Orient That for the same routes.

And yes, it's a shame that a country that is pretending to be the #1 in technology and the #1 in attracting tourists isn't offering such a simple thing as (free) wifi at an airport where 17,000,000 people are supposed to depart from or arrive at.

go sit by any of the priority pass lounges and can get there wifi signal for free.....

If password is needed just go inside and ask they will give you the password....

Singapore airport is nice but have to pay for liquor in priority lounges...

so far best airport for me....Seoul Korea....awesome place clean as a whistle...

free internet and free tablet use at small internet shops around the airport to..

best most comfortable seating of any airport i've been to...

Not true actually. In Uk can get free wifi any starbucks and otherretailers are offering and dont try and compare the cost of internet in the west to Thailand, Hi speed 10Mpbs unlimited broadband is what my sister and mother pay per month for 5 Uk pounds . I can't argue with that train of thought. Like Spain and many other has been resorts Thailand will soon be priced out and go out of fashion.

Nice beaches, good weather,cheap hotels and amiable company can be found in many places on a 12 hour plane ride from London.

Thailand is not unique and the short term appeal will soon be gone.

If I was looking for a non touristy nice beach warm sea holiday 12 hours from Europe I'd be looking at Burma.

There is a half hearted attempt at Swampy to supply free wi fi throughout the airport however the bureaucrats have messed it up by expecting travellers to know they can access via getting a passcode from the information desk.

There are a few clunky free terminals at the departure gates but with the mass appeal of I-Pads and I-Phones wifi has to become freely available at all Thai airports.

When lots of letters were fired off to the Bangkok Post re the immigration fiasco last year improvements were soon made.

with good reason why there is a need for a password: Consider the thousands of non pax that have access to the airport. All those non pax would tie up the bandwidth. The simple process of screening out the non flyers makes access to the wifi easier for legitimate clients of the airport.

This bloody nonsense of "we get ripped of the minute we arrive to the minute we leave" is really getting tiring.

The only holiday i ever taught i was getting ripped off and didn't like the people was sunny beach in Bulgaria. Awful place and experience.
