Wood Shop In Patong + Unrelated Question:

Hey Phuket members,

As stated in the title does any one know a "wood shop" in Patong that can merely grind down some wood for me that HomeWorks cut slightly off. Same day job service. Literally need half a cm taken off about 7 pieces of wood (precision stuff;) ) and don't want the mission of the week turn around time HomeWorks offers.

Completely unrelated so as not to open a new topic does anyone have an up to date list of the various markets around Phuket with their days and hours? Driven past some small ones that look quite cool, enjoy having a look at the offerings so please put down all the ones you know on the island!

I don't know a wood shop in Patong, Even though I lived there once upon a time.

There are many outdoor markets around the island. I know where they are here in the Rawai area. Sunday it's on Viset road near the Sea Shell Museum, Monday just up the road by Asia Bar. If I remember correctly. They shift between those two spots then up to by Friendship Beach on Viset on Wednesday and Friday. Saturday is up nearer to the Tesco Chalong and is more muslim. There is also a big one half way between Chalong and Central on Viset most days, though I've never gone there. They usually start to open a bit after 3 PM. Not sure when they close. Alway best to get there early when the selection is the best.

Going from Patong to Karon on the hill up to (former) Safari Pub on the left side you can find a wood shop.

Location is roughly at N 7.873896°, E 98.288303°

I was looking myself for a woodwork shop in Patong I never found any but the one near karon sounds ok I might check that out today.

There is a shop on na-nai rd that has a small selection of wood for sale but I don't think they do any woodwork I have bought wood from them but I don't see any machine's or workers cutting or shaping.

I went there yesterday got what i wanted i asked if they cut wood lady said yes there is a metal welding shop next door so a handy spot.
