Ranong police officers were startled to discover the drug dealer they came to arrest was a 33-year-old man paralyzed below the chest. The man had been dealing drugs on the Internet using the name, “Jane Online.” A car accident 10 years ago left him paralyzed.

RANONG – February 6, 2013 [PDN]; the Khaosod newspaper reported the arrests of two suspects for drug dealing that included a paralyzed man. Making the arrests were Captain Surasak Pheungyaem and the officers of subduing drugs at Ranong police station.

The supects were identified as Ms. Atchara or Kook Phuaphan, age 23; and Mr. Phirom Boonrod or “Jane Online,” age 33, who is paralyzed from the chest down. During the arrest, 4 soldiers assisted to carry and lift the folding, 3-part special wheelchair used by Mr. Phirom with a catheter and urine bag.

Captain Surasak revealed that on the previous evening, the Ranong police station mobilized forces with the officers of subduing drugs to arrest Ms. Atchara while she was driving a motorbike to deliver drugs to a police undercover agent.

She was going to a prearranged location near Thaksin village, Moo 4 Tambon Bang Non, Amphur Meuang Ranong, Ranong province. She was arrested by police, who seized 20 amphetamine pills.

Ms. Atchara then confessed that she had bought amphetamines from her supplier, known as “Mr. Jane Online.” So the undercover agent made phone call to make a “sting” purchase of drugs from Mr. Jane Online, who arranged to have the amphetamines picked up at his house.

More than 10 officers and soldiers raided the house of the suspect on Moo 2 Tambon Bang Non, Amphur Meuang Ranong, Ranong province. The officers were startled to discover that the person all the teenagers in the village knew as “Jane Online” was a crippled man.

He was lying in his special folding reclining wheelchair when the police surprised him. Perched on the paralyzed man’s chest was a notebook computer connected with an air card.

When Mr. Jane Online saw the officers, he hurried to close his notebook computer immediately. But he had to confess when confronted with the evidence of 27 amphetamine pills, and the cash used for the undercover purchase. Police then searched the house, and found a total of 78 amphetamine pills stashed in several locations.

Ha-ha - right on man, right on, but that's Thai society and I find it so much more relaxing to let them get on with it whilst I live on another planet, right here in Thailand!

78 pills found in the guy's home. WOW! ohmy.png I bet he was using half of them himself, being stuck on that bastard bed all day! sad.png

Big catch for 10 officers on a 'major' sting!

Poor sod was probably just doing minor stuff to pay for his hospital bills, whilst the big multi-national drug traders in and around the borders, with Government politicians involved go UNNOTICED to the local police forces.

Get a grip BIB. He's a small time, petty thief...... that's all I'd determine it as.

Give him some space, and a slap only. Machete wielding Aussie killers get a 'good bond' let off.

Mr. Jane bonds well with his community, as they all know him!!!

Edit: They should call him Jane's Bond. cheesy.gif

feel sorry for chap,

was most likely selling the real stuff as well, and not some copy.

The post above has a link to the Quote of the year, thanks.

So bloody true eh.

How does he get his supplies?? he obviously doesn't collect anything himself. The Bib could have collected more people in their net with some surveillance.

After reading the story and all the (whatever comments) there is nothing to laugh about it

That special folding wheelchair looks awfully like one of those 200 Baht sun beds!!!

You must be right.

He's paralyzed. He should get an official license to trade drugs.

Because he requires some compassion, the drugs he sells are not harmful like the one sold by criminals.

that is exactly what i thought.

The fellow is obviously no moron, perhaps if Thai society made any effort to give the crippled and disfigured any hope of a productive life, he might have applied his talents elsewhere.

Not a lot a man can do to earn a living in Thailand if paralysed so as enterprising as this is, he is not really a threat? BS. The kids he sells to may soon run to harder drugs and that is a fact. His life is meaningless poor bastard but not when he attempts to bring others down as well.
