transam
Original marriage certificate was listed as shown and is always required. When l past any driving test to receive a license for a particular vehicle it had to be renewed at intervals, if one was banned from driving you surrendered your license until one could drive again. The Kor Ror 2 is absolute proof you are still married, (still licensed) not the original.
lopburi3
KR 2 has no meaning to Consulates. Your original marriage certificate is what they want to see to prove you actually got married - this is a standard printed form and they know what it looks and feels like (just like currency). The KR2 is just a copy of a ledger entry from a copy machine.

The Kor Ror 2 showing you are still married and obtained by ones Thai wife, is printed off and then given to the head guy to stamp, date and sign. What better proof is that. ? My ''original'' marriage thingy's are copies .

Mario2008
What is needed at the Laos border, pics, passport copies, USD etc? Can a Thai cross without a passport using ID card? A Thai can get a border pass, but that has limitations on it as to how long one can stay and how far one can travel. A Thai passport is only 1,000 baht and takes about 4 days to get. ubonjoe
For the Lao visa on photos are required. The will take 1500 baht for the visa or $35. There is an office for border passes just before gates for bridge on the left. They are only good for 3 days.
