ginjag
Close all the boy and girl bars, because they give Thailand a sordid image, This Culture Sec is a nut, good advertisement Nok.

Radar501
Actually, I find it almost as offensive as the Hooters and Michelin girls calendars I have up in my workshed. Edited February 10, 2013 by Radar501
rfukata
this Nok air's marketing campaign (bikini female girls), isn't this a followup to what Vietnam airlines did several month ago but with more models? we can't beat Vietnam with rice but we can beat them with bikini female models. Popular Post Kananga
Thai politicians have always taken the moral high ground, they think it will gain them popularity. Deep down they couldnt care less. What’s more concerning, (and this doesnt just apply to Nok Air’s calendar) but why do all the girls in these Thai promotions and commercials in general have to have white skin? What’s wrong with showing all the shades of Thailand? To me thats a far more alarming ‘cultural trait’ than showing a bit of abdomen.
kimamey
What kind of response would result if all the models were male? This being Thailand I was wondering if they were. For all I know they may not be models and could be employees. Women can be ground crew, flight attendants or pilots and it's very sexist to suggest otherwise. As someone else has said they are all too white as are most models and actors of both sexes. Strange there's no complaints about that. Of course if they've just used attractive looking girls rather than people who are employees and have experience in the business that's not right. It's a bit like having a political party with lots of experienced and capable politicians and then choosing a woman to be PM for her looks rather than any knowledge of politics. h90
300 copies for "fans"? Advertising is one thing (I'll leave matters of taste to others) but what is the point of such a limited edition? Easy to explain. 300 copies are cheap and Culture Permanent Secretary Prisana Pongtatpitakkul is taking care that NOK air calender is printed in every newspaper....now even TV.

Buchholz
Culture Permanent Secretary Prisana Pongtatpitakkul on Saturday attacked Nok Air for its controversial calendar. She said the ministry will soon host a discussion with related parties like the advertising association, PR companies, media and consumer protection agencies to address the issue, before using female bodies as a marketing tool will becomes an acceptable norm. All this hoo haa from some aged old female who has long since passed her best before date and is now nothing more than a jealous vindictive menopausal female who of course ignores those in power around her and their actions. Culture Permanent Secretary Prisana Pongtatpitakkul is not so aged and old and is quite capable of doing her own calendar posing. besth
Yeh but, all the models are Katoys. Really? I thought only 2 of them. Look forward for the next tip from someone at the "culture" Ministry about things that we should not see and would never know about unless it was for them bringing the issues up.
