Hi Folks

I have been having problems with my bore hole (only 2 years use), the water tanks are filling slowly, I have changed the pump in the well to a "supposedly" MORE efficient make, but this made little (if any) noticable improvement.

It has been suggested that I have the bore hole "flushed out" to clear the sand.

Has anyone had this done?? and what are the expected cost?? and any recomended companies??

The cost for me to have the bore hole flushed was about 2000 baht. The guy that dug the well did it. His name was Sop 086-020-5436. He speaks Thai only. If I recall, they pulled the pump out of the hole, had a water truck come and flush the hole out, and then hooked up an air compressor to flush the water out. He said it should be flushed every couple of years.

Thanks for the "info" BB1950.......we rang Sop and he confirms that he can sort the problem, but alas the cost is 15000 THB ....possibly because my bore hole is 80 mtrs....

Maybe someone will suggest another person for comparison

That's a possibility. My bore hole is only 28 meters. Also could depend on location. Good luck!
