What's An Alternative To Burning Movies To Dvd?

I've not burnt a DVD for years. At home I use a PC connected to the TV, plays anything of course and runs Skype for Wifey (why she wants to see me on a 48" TV I don't know).

On the move I used to use an external hard drive box with a built in media player, cost about 500 Baht (without drive) from Zeer, I now plug my PC into hotel TVs as most have flat screens with HDMI etc.

Sorry I didn't see this thread before and started a new one on the PC to TV connection. Obvious from your post it is easy to do. As I said I know very little about PC's computers etc. Can it be done with a desk top as well say to watch Internet TV connected by cable to the router as the wireless connection to my laptop doesn't stream!, is that the word and keeps stuttering where the desk top has no problems.

Note to self, do better searches.

HDi have just been releasing their 3D capable 'Dune' media players. Good alternative to the Popcorn Hour.

Whatever you do don't buy anything off those criminals selling copied DVDs and Blu-rays in Panthip Plaza. They also sell child pornography.
