4 weeks ago I bought a Samsung Smart flat screen.

Can be used for internet as well..

To connect to my WiFi router, I need to use an adapter...

Siamkominter shop told me to buy from Samsung Service Center on Sukhumvit, opposite from Lotus.

There they told me adapters were out of stock and that I had to wait about 4 weeks...

This period has past now, and another visit to Samsung and the lady called head office, only to get the answer that they still don't have them available...

Does anybody know if I can use any adapter for this..?

Silly that Samsung is lacking good service here...

There have been many posts about the Samsung Service Centre apparently ripping people off & bad service.

I will consider another brand next purchase based on others experiences.

Maybe try another electrical store that sells accessories such as the one on Thepassarit just past the service station, they have heaps of stuff there.

Went back with my Tablet 2 weeks ago.
One technician said: I'll replace the main board (warranty) to please make a back up first and then come back.

When returning with my back-upped tablet, another technician said: Your tablet and True do not match.....3G will not work.

Anyway, I left it at Samsung, and after one week it was ready and obviously they replaced the main-board, although I can't check that. Anyway, the problem is still there and obviously the Samsung Galaxy Tab 7.0 Plus can't deal with True 3G networks.

For sale: Samsung Galaxy Tab 7.0 Plus including official Samsung carkit and charger and 32Gb memory card. THB 8000 blink.png

I took my out of warranty Samsung Galaxy Mini ( my other phone is iPhone5 smile.png ) to the Samsung Service center for repair. The tech told me i needed a new main board, which would cost 3250B. I took it to Tukcom and got it repaired for 600B. It works fine since Nov 20 2012.

My friend's new Samsung Tab 2 could not recharge and we took it there. The tech said the cable was bad and it was not covered by the warranty. My friend took it to another Samsung service in his hometown in Chathaburi and it was repaired for free; the socket on the unit was bad. There was nothing wrong with cable.

If the TV doesn't have a built in wifi you can probably connect a wifi dongle on it's usb port, you also could buy a cable to plug it in your router. All of this is pretty standard material, just go to Tukcom and you should find everything you need, you don't need to bother with the Samsung service center...

I once bought a Nokia at the Nokia store in Pattaya (north pattaya). In the store she showed me it turned on. I bought it and walked out, sat on a bench in front of the store and started to use the phone. It didn't work other than the light coming on. I walked back in and they would not refund or exchange it. Said they would have to send it TO JAPAN and it would take 6 - 10 weeks. I left and dealt directly with Nokia myself. Turns out the "Nokia store" wasn't even a real Nokia store at all and was just using their brand. The phone wasn't even a real Nokia. They are still there even though Nokia confirmed they are not a Nokia store selling fake phones. TIT

About a year back I had a problem with a 32" Samsung TV. It was still within the warranty period so took it to the service centre on Sukhumvit.

A few days later we confirmed it had been fixed so my son went to collect.

He handed over the paperwork and they proceeded to wheel out a 55" model for him to take away!!

He was sorely tempted - the TV is for his bedroom - but thought it best to admit the truth.

I had the same problem and read the same info on the internet. I took it to Numchai, which I think has a great service center, and they said it couldn't be repaired. I brought it home and happened to see I had bought a service contract for it from Power Buy! They came out, decided it needed to go in for repairs and they also said it couldn't be fixed.

We're now waiting for our money from the insurance company.

It started out with one line, then 2, then 4 and finally 6 or so. We bought a Toshiba LED recently. Beautiful picture, but I like the interface with Samsung better.

I read that it was one of the boards in the set and could be replaced

no need to throw the whole set away

but trying to find an honest repair shop still

not like the old CR TV's

we had ours for over 20 years

I have a samsung smart tv and it all works fine for youtube but most apps are not particularly great. I use a sony google tv box and that is a great improvement but there are other newer usb dongles that are probably better. Look for those that support xbmc then you can watch every movie, live sport, series etc for free. Details at www.xbmchub.com

They usually are sold in 2 versions.

1 for true/dtac (850mhz)

1 for ais (900mhz)

It says which version on the box.

Get yourself an ais sim card.

I don't think you can blame Samsung for the bad service. Remember the

country you are in. Pick any decent manufacturer and go to a Thai service

center and you are in crap up to your waste ...

I have always had good experience with Samsung. Consumers should

be responsible and educate themselves which 3G bands for example

their devices will or will not support.

Numchai is a good recommendation, I had good experiences with them

as well.

Service centers, such as from AIS, True, DTAC, etc, will vary from

location to location and day by day. You can get a moron today, and

a really bright and helpful person the next day ... took me 3 visits to

different AIS centers to convert my bill to post-paid, mostly because

of ignorance and laziness of the workers ... and that is true for any

"service" center in this country.

samsung pattaya is actually nice, let me tell you why:

black and white laser printer - warranty - free of charge

black and white laser printer - no warranty - drum heating 3290,- THB (printer new= 2950 THB) *well ! WTH*

3 year old 40' inch tv failed at a friend's place: they came, said we know, and he got a new one within two weeks.

washing machines: i'm not so sure.

to all you nerds out a there: the galaxy pad and phones do have a quad band chip-set - so true, dtac, ais and whatsoever provider will be working.

let's play golf for some days, ride a bike, have a good time with friends - i don't care if a peace I did mess up need replacement.

I also bought a Samsung TV that connects to my router via Wi-Fi but I am not clear why you needed and adapter for that purpose. The only extra I bought was a keyboard that required a Bluetooth adapter but that came with the keyboard. I must admit I am very pleased with my TV and all the facilities that it provides. It also looks very good when connected to my PC I couldn't detect a difference between it and my monitor but I am not a game player.

No doubt about it. Is it a Galaxy Tab 3 V10.1? Or did you go for the price?
