Just spotted a new Italian restaurant under construction on Ratchaphruek Road, opposite Nic's Restaurant.

Reported to be operated by an Italian national. Details to follow.

Ratchaphruek Road is road to Royal Flora & Night Safari, between 121 and 108.
Nic's Restaurant, Coach's Pizza, Lanna Thara housing development, etc.

This new restaurant is small - may be open for lunches only.

Well, that was a disappointment sad.png When I saw the thread title I assumed it would be about the Ratchaphruek Road off Huay Kaew (Runs past Nakornping Condo into Santitham). Oh well, at least Ratchaphruek does have good Taiwanese, Khao Soi and Northern food.

Attached photo shows restaurant under construction.
It's actually located further up road from Nic's, closer to Chiang Mai - Hang Dong Road.
Next door to "Tum Thong" noodle shop.

Sounds like its very close to Tony Putrinos Yummy Pizza, where I have visited several times of late, gradually working my way through Tonys menu, and so far have never been disappointed. Tonys Lasagne and Risottos are especially good, and my partner who loves Seafood Pasta and has sampled all over town reckons Tonys is the freshest and best by a distance.

I have no connection with, nor shares in the place by the way, just posting as I find. I think this new place will have a tough job to match or even come close to Yummy, but we will see!! Its good to have options in that side of town without having to drive all the way into the city centre!!

Had a look today,it's called Danisa bake & take or something, looks like a coffee shop, bakery, couldn't really see inside.

Love your YUMMY lasagne and ravioli, Tony! Added your location to wikimapia.

It looks like a the border crossing in the DMZ in Korea!
